You will serve as a MAINTENANCE MECHANIC in the FACILITY SUSTAINMENT BRANCH of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE.

Duties
You will use a variety of tools such as miters, rabbets, dados, biscuits, and mortises and tenons to assemble items and to use glues and adhesives to secure projects.
You will work on projects such as building frames, rafters, concrete forms, walls, staircases, door and window frames, interior and exterior trim, and other miscellaneous items.
You will construct or repair building structures (e.g., walls, roofs, floors, etc.) using wood, cement block, or metal.
You will mix stains, epoxies, enamels, varnish, shellacs, lacquers, plastic paints, bituminous paints, and other surface coating materials.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- Employee must be certified or certifiable in the use of respirator and air fed hood.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Selecting the appropriate tools, equipment, and material needed at the worksite and determining repairs to be made; 2) Producing finished products according to specifications; 3) Performing a full range of carpentry, painting, roofing, tiling, and concrete forming to construct or repair buildings and structures.
