You will serve as a MAINTENANCE MECHANIC LEADER in the FACILITIES SUSTAINMENT DIVISION
of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE.
Duties
You will explain procedures, policies, written instructions, or other directives to others performing maintenance work.
You will use, maintain and account for all types of hand and/or power tools and test equipment.
You will assure the safety and housekeeping rules are followed.
You will maintain a current knowledge and answer questions of other workers on procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directives.
You will coordinate maintenance work assignments among staff to maintain work progress and meet schedules.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- May be required to work at a job site or location other than the permanently assigned location.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including rotating shifts, overtime, nights, weekends, holidays and/or be "called back" to meet mission requirements.
- May require possession of a valid Environmental Protection Agency Universal Certification for working with all types of refrigerants at high and low pressures.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Using of a wide variety of hand tools, test equipment, power tools, and equipment to perform the work;2) Planning, laying out, and completing installation, modification, and repair of new and existing electrical and/or mechanical systems;3) Interpreting building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, engineering documents, drawings, and maintenance and repair manuals to plan work.
