Duties
You will use close tolerance measuring devices and tools (e.g., voltmeters, ammeters, multimeters, vacuum and acid pumps, pressure gauges, humidity recorders, micrometers, calipers, soldering equipment) to repair and test equipment.
You will lead a team in determining cause and appropriate repair of defects and malfunctions on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment.
You will follow established safety procedures and practices at all times and ensure the adherence of your team.
You will lead a team in determining causes and executing the appropriate repair of defects and malfunctions of electrical, plumbing and pipefitting systems.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- May be required to work at a job site or location other than the permanently assigned location.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including rotating shifts, overtime, nights, weekends, holidays and/or be "called back" to meet mission requirements.
- May require possession of a valid Environmental Protection Agency Universal Certification for working with all types of refrigerants at high and low pressures.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Possess the ability to read and interpret blue prints, schematics, technical manuals, National Electrical Codes, specifications, wiring diagrams, and related requirements for proper application and installation of work and equipment; 2) Receive and execute specific instructions from Supervisors or higher level employees in order to accomplish work assignments and projects; 3) Possesses knowledge and ability to perform maintenance work in other trades such as Carpentry, Plumbing, Masonry, Painting and Machinery below the journeyman skill level.
