About the Position: Serve as Chief of the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP).
Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE) 2 years by a current permanent Army employee. (Please refer to the 'Additional Information' section to review more on this.)
Relocation incentive MAY be authorized by IAW agency policy.
Duties
Oversee the processes and programs for the Exceptional Assignment Programs Centralized Office.
Serve as a subject matter expert on assigned programs or projects to the senior staff officer and Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army (DASA)-PO.
Serve as immediate supervisor for senior program specialists engaged in EFMP policy oversight functions.
Meet with key customers, HQDA peers, and coordinating officials to assess customer satisfaction, explain organization policy and procedures, and resolve significant problems that arise.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Temporary business travel up to 20%.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience in personnel and/or operations; assisting with developing strategies, direction, planning and/or oversight for organization level initiatives; and experience with identifying and/or developing ways to resolve problems which directly affect accomplishment of organization level goals. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).
