About the Position: Serves as the Program Manager (Forensics/Biometrics) for the Defense Forensics and Biometrics Agency, reporting directly to the Director. Employee will be responsible for programming, standards, architecture, and requirement functions and activities of the Defense Forensics and Biometrics Agency and for interfacing with higher-level entities to achieve overall goals and objectives necessary to accomplish the mission.

Duties

Responsible for programming, standards, architecture, and requirements functions and activities of the Defense Forensics and Biometrics Agency (DFBA). Manage and execute the DoD Identity Activities planning processes and the assessment, development, and coordination of DoD biometric and forensic systems. Assure DFBA requirements are satisfied by numerous cross agency organizations that are responsible for providing technical input into the DoD Identity Enterprise. Perform supervisory duties for a subordinate staff to include assigning work to subordinates, preparing schedules for completion of work and evaluate work performance. Conduct mid-range and long-range planning meetings to assess and establish the long-term goals of programs supporting DoD identity activities. Maintain awareness of technological discoveries, developments, and projects by conducting close liaison at the highest levels with officials of industry, research foundations, government institutes, and educational institutions.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Position has been designated Critical-Sensitive (3) requiring a TOP SECRET security clearance with SCI and is subject to Random Drug Testing IAW AR 600-85 and DoD Directive 2010.9.
  • Applicant selected for movement into positions covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program must sign DA Form 5019-R (Condition of Employment for Certain Positions identified as Critical under the Drug Abuse Testing Program).
  • Applicant must pass urinalysis testing as required prior to appointment and periodically thereafter. Position is subject random drug testing IAW AR 600-85.
