You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM MANAGER (Maintenance Requirements/Readiness/ Improvements Officer) in the Maintenance & Material Readiness Division, N4 of PAC FLEET SUB FORCE OPS COMPONENT.
Duties
You will serve as the Maintenance Requirements/Readiness/Improvements Officer in all technical and
administrative aspects of nuclear powered ship maintenance, repair, and modernization.
You will formulate and direct engineering studies, analyses, and other projects in support of improved maintenance, modernization, contracting, and repair initiatives.
You will manage both professional and technical engineering staff in the scope of work equivalent to that required for the position and to make vital decisions on related issues.
You will establish material readiness requirement baselines and levels of performance to be developed or acquired.
You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare
schedules for completion of work.
You will interpret, implement, and provide guidance to address directives from higher authority regarding maintenance and modernization policies and procedures.
You will influence, motivate, or persuade persons or groups to take actions related to advancing the fundamental goals and objectives of the program.
You will have daily contact with senior and peer civilian and military personnel at the GS-15 or flag officer level, as well as supporting contractors, involved in the process of maintaining and modernizing Navy ships or submarines.

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning, executing and directing technical and engineering studies, reports and programs in support of ship or submarine maintenance and modernization.
