Duties
You will analyze CI Investigative Campaigns and associated interagency background check work processes and studies.
You will evaluate program operations and inspections, identifies complex problems, inefficiencies, other actual/potential problems, and develop recommendations for solutions
You will participate in complex special projects, monitors activities or actions of the organization.
You will keep senior leadership properly informed of the highest priority items; ensures appropriate individuals are aware of actions requiring their attention.
You will identify problem areas within the program administration processes, makes recommendations, and assesses, revises policies and procedures to resolve issues.
You will find ways to improve quality, timelines and efficiency of program management/administrative work.
You will develop and work collectively with management on standard operating procedures (SOP’s), policy, and business rules, as applicable.
Requirements

- The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based upon a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) and be eligible for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications
GS-13:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Compiling data, identifies facts and potentialities (such as shortcomings and opportunities for improvement), performs a range of qualitative and quantitative analyses, identifying statistical relationship such as correlations and variances, to draw conclusions and devise solutions to issues encountered in the development and management of the internal controls over CI Investigative Campaigns and associated background checks.
GS-12:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Preparing final reports that include narrative and statistical evaluations, conclusions, and recommendations. Reviewing and evaluating completed CI Investigative Campaigns and background check staff actions (memos, correspondence, reports, studies, fact sheets, and information papers) for overall quality of the document, appropriate levels of coordination, consistency, logic, soundness of recommendations, and compliance with policy.
