Serves as a Program Implementation Manager (PIM) for management of projects and programs related to the establishment, sustainment, maintenance or operation of National Airspace System (NAS) facilities and equipment to include the areas of Navigation Aids (NAVAIDs), Infrastructure, Communications, Terminal or En Route areas.
Duties
Incumbent works in close coordination with project/program managers, team members, stakeholders and customers on the coordination, establishment and performance of project scope, schedule, and budget. Applies knowledge of the NAS in managing program and project activities within assigned program areas both internal and external to the FAA Air Traffic Organization (ATO).
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents).
- May be terminated at any time, extended, or made permanent without further competition.
- Security Requirement: Moderate Risk (5). This position requires completion and favorable adjudication of a background investigation prior to appointment, unless a waiver is obtained. Subject to a 5 year period reinvestigation.
Qualifications
Specialized ExperienceCandidates must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the (FV-H or FG/GS-12) level that is typically in or related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the work of the position to be filled.
