About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency, Tripler Army Medical Center, Directorate of Aministation, Patient Administration, Honolulu Hawaii.

Duties

Provides administrative support services to Soldiers undergoing processing through the Army Disability System. Assisting members from the time of receipt of notification of pending Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) through the various stages of processing until completion of the Clinical Evaluation Process. Explains significance of completion of forms (intake form, physical form) to ensure all conditions are assessed accurately during the board process. Performs a variety of technical and organizational support duties, mainly in the area of work measurement, forecasting, capacity planning, and scheduling. Updates, revises, sorts, calculates, and manipulates data in spreadsheets to meet multiple report formats and produce standard reports. Answers non-technical questions concerning appointment and provides standardized preparatory instructions for routine procedures or refers to appropriate staff, as required.

  • This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.

OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Health Administration or Business Administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementCustomer Service (Clerical/Technical)Organizational AwarenessPlanning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
