This position is located in the Directorate of Operations, which provides support operations for the Office of Protection, Office of Domestic Facilities Protections, and Office of Investigations, Office of Counterintelligence, Office of Special Investigations, and Office of Field Office Management.
You will serve as the point of contact to the Assistant Director of Domestic Operations with providing expert knowledge on personnel regulations, policy, organization structure and performance.
Duties
Provides authoritative advice and guidance to senior management in the identification, analysis, and resolution of critical and complex management issues affecting the ability of the organization to accomplish mission requirements.
Leads and/or performs comprehensive studies and analyses designed to evaluate and, where possible, improve directorate-wide management policies and practices.
Monitors the management and control of personnel resources within the Directorate to ensure compliance with plans, workload, and priorities.
Develops and implements performance metrics and other qualitative and quantitative methods by which programs can be measured in order to identify problem areas and formulate improvements.
Serves as the primary liaison and point of contact on all personnel and related administrative issues within the Directorate of Operations.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Incumbent will be subject to random drug testing.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
Qualifications
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience providing guidance to senior leadership on management and organization theories, with a specific focus on intelligence and law enforcement programs;
- Experience developing and implementing performance metrics to measure program effectiveness, identify problem areas and deficiencies, and formulate improvement;
- Experience conducting comprehensive studies and analyses designed to evaluate and improve management policies and practices;
- Experience conducting thorough research, using sounding judgement, and providing strategic recommendations on sensitive management challenges throughout the organization.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-14 position.
