You will serve as a Supervisory Financial Management Analyst in the NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.
Duties
You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization’s programs and administrative operations.
You will master the concepts, principles, practices, laws, and regulations of budgeting and/or financing and their relation to subordinate and senior levels.
You will analyze national level programs, exceptionally large and complete programs, develop, recommend and implement budgetary/financial policies.
You will lead, supervise, motivate and counsel employees.
You will develop proposals concerning alternative methods, sources, and timing of financing for substantive programs.

- This is a Financial Management Level III certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Financial Management Analyst experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying a knowledge of inventory accuracy and financial policies, procedures, and regulations. I have experience identifying, analyzing, and resolving a range of financial and inventory accuracy problems such as the development of alternative methods of reporting. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing the following duties: 1.) Analyzing and recommending costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations; 2.) Interpreting financial and inventory accuracy policies and practices to resolve technical and operational problems; 3.) Presenting and defending inventory accuracy reports to senior leadership; 4.) Establishing, monitoring, and validating financial management and inventory accuracy; 5.) Developing, recommending, and implementing financial/inventor accuracy policies; 6) Utilizing an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) or SAP (System Application and Products) Program to produce auditable financial/inventory accuracy reports; 7.) Assigning work to subordinates based on employee's capabilities, priorities, and difficulty.
