You will serve as a TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER (TECHNICIAN) in the AVAILABILITY INTEGRATION DIVISION, MODERNIZATION & INSTALLATION DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

Duties

You will plan, implement and execute technical programs relative to the acquisition and design, shipyard production, industrial test, at-sea test and evaluation, and Combat Systems in service engineering of the Amphibious ship platform programs. You will provide technical expertise and leadership for development, integration, in-service operations, and leadership to NSWC PHO personnel and support contractors assigned to Amphibious ship platform program. You will provide technical expertise and leadership to execute SCN and RDTandE efforts; Shipyard Industrial production and test, Combat system integration, integrated logistics, postdelivery test and trials, and in-service engineering tasking. You will perform financial management and long-range planning to support Amphibious ship platforms. You will direct, coordinate, lead and oversee Amphibious ship platform support across Program Executive Offices (PEOs), Warfare Centers, NSWC PHO line departments.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS 11/12 grade level equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading teams and managing systems engineering projects to test and evaluate shipboard combat and weapon systems for a warfare program.
