Duties
Develops and recommends policy and plans for Command staffed actions.
Advise leadership and other authorities on all technical matters relating to officer accessions and Cadet Management
Conducts studies of the officer accession process and cadet management.
Supervise subordinates in the performance of their duties by planning, assigning, and reviewing work to be accomplished.
Provides instructions on difficult or different work problems and procedures.
Trains subordinates in the selection and application of appropriate problem-solving methods and techniques.
Represents the Command at various agency and interagency planning conferences and provides technical assistance as required.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- Temporary Duty (TDY), approximately 10% of the time.
- May be required to complete a 1-year probation period.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience which includes providing technical advice and guidance on HR management regulations such as accessions and personnel management. (2) Applying Human Resources concepts to develop recommendations for changes to Human Resources plans and programs. 3) Preparing reports or presentation briefings to inform officials of analysis results for use in the decision-making process.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-11.
