About the Position: This position is with the United States Army Reserve Command, G-3/7, Training Integration Division, Training Support Branch located at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.
Duties
Serve as the Deputy for the Leader Development Division (LDD), Training Directorate (G-37), Headquarters, U.S. Army Reserve Command (USARC).
Develop training and leader development policies and programs for the Army Reserve within the institutional, operational and self-development domains.
Analyze new Department of Defense and Department of the Army policies, directives, and decisions that affect the command’s leader development programs and training.
Develop planned and systematic studies to determine the immediate and long range training and development needs of the Army Reserve.
Provide leadership, assistance, and technical guidance to all levels of management in evaluating the training process and training results.
Serve as the USARC Command Career Program (CP) Coordinator for CP 32 and CP 60; Training, Capabilities, and Doctrine Warfighting Capabilities.
Recommend procedures for periodic evaluation of program effectiveness, assesses progress in meeting program goals, and determines compliance with policies and standards of higher authority and outside agencies.
Exercise leader and supervisory responsibilities to a highly diverse senior team of personnel that includes Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers, Warrant Officers, Civilians, and Contract employees.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:
Interpreting command and higher headquarters directives, policies, procedures and regulations covering all phases of exercises in support of the USARCs mission, goals and objectives;
Conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis, to evaluate the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of joint exercise programs;
Performing a wide variety of analytical studies and projects related to management improvement, productivity improvement, management controls, and long-range planning; and
Justifying a training budget to ensure management concurrence.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
