You will serve as a MAJOR PROJECT PROGRAM MANAGER for NAVFAC SOUTHWEST. You will serve as the Program Manager for the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program, and oversee the execution of multiple projects throughout the planning, design and construction phases. The position is in the Operations Division and reports to the Deputy Operations Officer.
Duties
You will develop point papers, briefs, and other related documents to convey facilities programs and project updates and statutes.
You will work as a liaison between the organization and contractors in the performance of facilities projects.
You will manage the planning process of special projects and military construction (MILCON) projects to ensure best use of resources in addressing housing and facility sustainment issues.
You will identify resources (e.g., staff, funding, equipment, tools, facilities) to support various levels of program operations.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Performing various analytical, technical and advisory functions related to facilities planning, construction, business and financial management; 2) Advising professionals in performing work in areas of construction, field engineering, environmental planning, environmental compliance, contract administration, real estate, public affairs and other construction-related disciplines; 3) Identifying and analyzing highly complex project management issues to develop creative and innovative solutions for planning, budgeting, development, execution, assessment and programming; and 4) Creating complex briefing materials and documents for use in decision-making and meetings.
