You will serve as a MAJOR PROJECT PROGRAM MANAGER in the OPERATIONS DIVISION of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.
Duties
You will provide consistency and high quality documentation for the development, presentation, and justification of budgeting for the actions required to support the overall project.
You will provide technical direction with the main focus on planning related issues.
You will serve as the primary facilities expert, performing a wide variety of analytical, technical and advisory functions related to the fields of construction, business and financial management.
You will participate in regional conferences in a continuing effort to maintain coordination with all engaged in the Facilities Planning Program.
You will guide, train and technically direct teams in the designs and recommended innovative program improvements throughout the Region, NAVFAC and Supported Commands.

- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing various analytical, technical and advisory functions related to facilities planning, construction, business and financial management; 2) Advising professionals in performing work in areas of construction, field engineering, environmental planning, environmental compliance, contract administration, real estate, public affairs and other construction-related disciplines; 3) Identifying and analyzing highly complex project management issues to develop creative and innovative solutions for planning, budgeting, development, execution, assessment and programming; and 4) Creating complex briefing materials and documents for use in decision-making and meetings. NOTE: This experience must be fully and clearly supported in your resume.
