You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the Surface Ship Readiness Program Office of NAVSEA HQ FIELD SUPPORT.
Duties
You will assist with management of cost, schedule, and performance of Surface Ship bridge equipment and associated design projects to ensure applicable systems effectively interface with associated gear in accordance with design requirements.
You will support the analysis of and define resources (personnel, financial, equipment, etc.) requirements to ensure program success.
You will incorporate financial management principles and techniques in long range planning of programs and designing of objectives.
You will assist in providing program management and technical planning, along with special studies and analysis, supporting Department, Division and overall Navy and Defense needs.
You will draft and implement improvement and efficiency strategies for programming, budgeting and procurement based on findings from key program specialists and analysts.
You will draft and present written and oral reports, assessments, presentations, etc. providing technical and program direction and addressing complex and sometimes controversial program/project operations.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 pay band (or GS-11 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing resource requirements (e.g., personnel, financial, equipment) to support maintenance, modernization, or lifecycle planning for ships or ship systems (e.g., radio, communication, etc.).
