You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (POLICY AND PLANNING) in the Digital Networks & Applications Department (DNA) and Digital Analytics infrastructure and Technology Advancement (DAiTA) Group of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
This position serves as the Mission Support and Logistics IT Division Head which acts as the primary technical advisor to DNA leadership and customers on issues and solutions within DNA's area of responsibility.
The duty location of this position is Patuxent River, MD.
Duties
You will demonstrate technical expertise in all functional areas, and ability to integrate this expertise with practical knowledge of the mission, objectives, and operations of the component served.
You will manage all end item products (VTC, cellular devices, RDTE laptops, etc.), the Business Telephone Office and NMCI Assistant Contract Technical Representative (ACTR) personnel, operations and processes.
You will provide budget structure and management support relevant to Research, Development, Test and Evaluation networks.
You will provide expertise in all IT functional areas and integrate this expertise with practical knowledge of the mission, objectives, and operations.
You will use critical thinking to analyze the systems and products across DNA’s portfolio to ensure appropriate engagement and engineering for evolving requirements.
You will utilize NAVAIR/NAWCAD EEO policies, NAWACD employee supervision and personnel management practices.
You will provide supervision regarding Information systems and related ADP technologies to specialists who employ automated information systems as tools.
Requirements

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 0802 level Basic within 12 months of appointment
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-13/14) grade level or pay band (NM-04) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS 13/14) or pay band (NM-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (POLICY AND PLANNING) performing duties such as:
1) Establishing and executing customer relationship management, work ingestion, financial monitoring, configuration management, and requirements for management processes;
2) Providing the resources and processes to support IT systems and metrics by providing, maintaining, and developing the required Aviation Logistics and Industrial Information Systems and tools;
3) Defining and documenting IT requirements and IT solutions to enable the fielding of aviation maintenance and logistics information systems worldwide;
4) Leading a team by planning and preparing performance plans covering work to be accomplished by subordinates, setting and adjusting short-term priorities, and preparing schedules for completion of work; and
5) Providing management and oversight of the architecture, procurement, and processes used by the RDT&E community for information technology.
