Duties
You will be cross-trained in multiple areas across the department to perform duties supporting explosive manufacturing, warhead processing, small and large rocket motor assembly, inspections, or other duties as assigned.
You will learn how to perform the manufacturing processes and inspect products to ensure they meet specification and drawing requirements.
You will assist engineers and other technicians in using qualitative and quantitative techniques to solve manufacturing problems.
You will support the development of new tooling, fixtures and equipment enhancements to improve the manufacturing process.
You will maintain product quality, equipment, tools, workstations, and a safe work area.
You will support a manufacturing organization.
You will be required to report to the duty location advertised in the announcement on a regular and recurring basis. Occasional telework options may be available.
Requirements

- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals).
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Qualifications
FOR NT-03: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-02 pay band (GS-05 through GS-08) equivalent grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and interpreting engineering technical methods and procedures to perform engineering technical work in support of explosive manufacturing capabilities and processes.
FOR NT-02: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-04) equivalent grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: reviewing and interpreting engineering technical methods and procedures to assist with engineering technical work in support of explosive manufacturing processes.

FOR NT-02:
-Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree (a) with major study in an appropriate field of engineering, construction, or industrial technology; or (b) that included at least 24 semester hours in any combination of courses such as engineering, engineering or industrial technology, construction, physics, drafting, surveying, physical science, or mathematics.
