You will serve as a Supervisory Technician in the Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $153,354.)

Duties

You will serve as General Foreman of the Infrastructure Support Branch responsible for managerial duties for a staff consisting of trade supervisors, administrative, technicians, and maintenance mechanic personnel. You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive infrastructure operations and maintenance management plans for the Division. You will act as a liaison between maintenance staff and execution agents and customers on all facilities operations and maintenance matters. You will assign, direct, track, and review the work of operations and maintenance to include internal supervisors and subordinates and external agencies involved in the inspection, testing, maintenance, repair, and project execution. You will be responsible for all compliance, human capital, and asset management for internal operations and maintenance trades within the Branch.

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower-level NT-04 (GS 11/12) leading infrastructure operations and maintenance programs including inspection, testing, and/or maintenance of critical life safety and operational readiness facility systems.
