Duties
As an International Workforce Specialist, you will:
Coordinate, review and provide guidance on staffing, position management and classification of positions, serving as an expert resource to field staff (writing/developing/advisory/capacity).
Assure recommend changes are congruent with the various missions and consistent with HHS/CDC, and Department of State policies.
Track Full-time Equivalent (FTE) position allocations for Locally Employed Staff, overseas long-term contractors and local hires with their funding sources, coordinates their funding sources, evaluates reports on the CDC overseas presence.
Plan and/or accomplish special projects with identified and unidentified complicating elements that have programmatic or technical issues requiring resolution.
Facilitate training workshops on various workforce topics, processes, and policies for overseas staff.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level, which must include the following experience: to develop and provide recommendations on workforce and career development needs based on existing policy and regulations, and coordinate processes of reviewing and approving staff position management, position description writing and development, and classification review.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Copy of your transcripts or equivalent documentation is required for positions with an education requirement, or if you are qualifying based on education or a combination of education and experience. An official transcript will be required if you are selected.
College or university degree generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. For a list of schools which meet these criteria, please refer to

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
