Duties

As a Senior Operations Officer you will: Provide executive level technical advisory services in the formulation and implementation of policies, strategic goals, and operational strategies. Function as a key participant with executive staff in the development and implementation of strategic and financial plans. Develop a plan for communicating customer service, performance, and cost efficiency measurements to the CDC Management Board and CDC senior management. Responsible for conducting studies and program analyses activities to improve management and assess organizational efficiency and productivity. Plan, direct, and evaluate aspects of the OCOO's critical and operational planning, program development, and administrative and management services programs.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: To qualify at the GS-15 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level, which must include the following experience: applying fact-finding, analytical, and problem-solving methods or techniques to identify program challenges, recommending appropriate actions to improve efficiency and effectiveness operations of a program, and managing operational policies and projects. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

Copy of your transcripts or equivalent documentation is required for positions with an education requirement, or if you are qualifying based on education or a combination of education and experience. An official transcript will be required if you are selected.
