As a Project Manager, you will be a senior project manager responsible for overall project management of the most politically sensitive and complex Prospectus level projects.Location of position: Public Building Services, National Capital Region, Office of Design and Construction, Capital Project Division.
We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
Duties
Oversee the business management of the most complex building and/or leasing projects from project identification, through initiation, planning, execution, and closeout stages Assignments encompass broad managerial responsibilities, such as cost management, planning, organizing, controlling, coordinating, reviewing, and approving design, construction, and related work performed by other GSA organizations. Oversees and/or reviews project designs and coordinates development of design and specification packages for purposes of bid and determines construction completion times and reviews overall cost estimates.
Manage all aspects of the project’s finances with the client including preparation, negotiation, presentation, approval, and communication of pricing, occupancy agreements, reimbursable work authorizations, and project budget. Directs and performs budget planning and execution to support each step in development Determine project risk and assesses project activities and resources to mitigate risk on behalf of the government. Determines project documents and cost estimates to achieve the goals of the master plan.

The GS-14 salary range starts at $139,395 per year.To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience applying advanced concepts, practices, and methodologies to manage large, complex new construction, modernization and lease construction projects. Such experience must reflect experience performing planning, scheduling, budgeting, estimating, cost analysis and control, tracking, reporting, and forecasting for such projects.
