As Director of the Heating Operation and Transmission District (HOTD), you will be responsible for professional, business, and technical administration; and strategic and tactical direction over planning, organizing, leading, and controlling this large utility complex.
Location: National Capital Region (NCR), the Heating Operation & Transmission Officer(HOTD) Division.
We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
Duties
Summary: As Director of the Heating Operation and Transmission District (HOTD), you will be responsible for professional, business, and technical administration; and strategic and tactical direction over planning, organizing, leading, and controlling this large utility complex. To include administration of programs, projects, and initiatives related to mechanical, chemical, electrical/electronics, climate change, sustainability, decarbonization, environmental and plant operation functions and disciplines; and business activities related to budgeting, financial management, revenue collection, customer relations, industry collaboration and public affairs.

The GS-15 salary range starts at $163,964 per year. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level or higher in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is one year of experience equivalent to the GS-14 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is administering the pollution control program for all pollution matters within heating and refrigeration plants which relate to air, water, noise, oil, fuel, and thermal considerations. Experience must include developing guidelines and operating procedures on policies, and objectives for activities to include programs in the organizational components involving mitigating climate risks, increasing energy and sustainability measures, and formulating decarbonization actions.
