About the Position: Performs supply and production control functions for the Production Control / Supply Branch of the Installation Maintenance Division (IMD).

Duties

Performs a wide range of functional systems tasks such as building data reports, troubleshooting system errors, submitting and managing help desk tickets, archiving data and maintaining GCSS training records. Provides guidance on supply and work order processes, procedures and remedies junior employee work issues. Exercises a thorough understanding of supply and maintenance policies, regulations, directives, procedures and GCSS. Conduct inventories, receives, stocks, stores and issues materials, tracks all supply transactions and inputs external cost into GCSS.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Position may require the employee to perform Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) up to 10% of the time.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Issued credit card for TDY/travel expenses.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
  • Pre-appointment physical is required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing logistical operations support in relation to supply, equipment maintenance and/or procurement; utilizing an automated supply system to track logistical information.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR ???????Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Planning and EvaluatingSupply SupportTraining and Training Support Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
