This position serves as the Coordinator of the Pharmacy Billing program for Claremore Indian Hospital.
This program establishes billing process standards in accordance with IHS policies and procedures as well as state and
federal regulatory agencies. This position is supervised by the CIH Pharmacy Director.
Duties
Responsible for planning, coordination, and execution of all activities related to the pharmacy billing operation.
Oversees and directs professional and support staff with the pharmacy billing program and directs the delivery of the pharmacy billing program.
Utilizes the patients electronic health record to customize pharmacy billing reports for administration.
Develops and Updates the pharmacy billing policies and procedures.
Coordinates with other departments to optimize third party collections.
Implements, maintains and trains on proper pharmacy inventory management.
Provides pharmacy billing training for pharmacy, business office, and registration personnel.
Presents at local and National level on pharmacy billing operation.
Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):
Basic Requirements for the GS-13 (or equivalent) Grade Level
Education: A doctoral degree in Pharmacy that is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
Licensure: Applicants must be licensed to practice pharmacy in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. All applicants must have passed the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination (https://nabp.pharmacy/programs/naplex/) and the Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination (https://nabp.pharmacy/programs/mpje/).
In addition to the requirements for the GS-13 (or equivalent) level, applicants must have a minimum of one year of professional pharmacy experience.
In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks:
GS-13: One year of professional pharmacy experience on matters relating to the planning, coordination and execution of all activities related to a pharmacy billing operation. Familiar with pharmacy inventory management.
MEDICAL REQUIREMENT: Applicants must be able to distinguish basic colors.
