The primary purpose of this position is to exercise second level supervisory and managerial authorities over the ACC Communications Support Squadron.
Duties
Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the ACC Communications Support Squadron.
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
Represents (the organization) with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
Manages and oversees operations supporting cybersecurity for AF classified and unclassified networks and AF Weapon systems.

- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a top secret security clearance.
- Incumbent is required to file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and will be required to file annually.
- This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.
- Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
- Position is centrally managed by Cyberspace and Information Technology CFT.
Qualifications

EXPERIENCE: Must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the following four competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, Problem Solving AND have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-13 or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes: Coordinating cybersecurity, maintenance operations, and management of networks for multiple MAJCOMs to meet mission objectives organization wide; Coordinating and integrating a number of important and complex program segments or programs of professional, scientific, technical, managerial, or administrative work; Implementing major decisions and actions that will have a direct and substantial effect on the organization; Analyzing, planning, and adjusting work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources; and Planning, organizing, and directing the functions of an organization and providing mentorship, motivation, and appraisal to the staff through subordinate supervisors.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of cyber systems' operational capability and functionality and AF Network Operation systems, capabilities and limitations of advanced network equipment (e.g., routers, switches, bridges, gateways, firewalls, proxy services, mail relay services, active directory, messaging and application servers).
Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors.
Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
Skill, judgement, resourcefulness, originality and ability to foresee the impact of changing technology and in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to identify, investigative and resolve complex issues or problems.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).
