You will serve as a Supervisory IT Specialist (PLCYPLN) within NAVAL SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.

Duties

You will serve as a technical authority, expert consultant, and skilled architect of process improvement initiatives throughout the Business Operation’s program portfolio. You will analyze program operations, resources, and execution, overseeing projects involved with administration, operations, and management services to assigned functions. You will Collaborates with other teams to implement changes, updates, troubleshoot issues and develop solutions, and ensure the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices. You will conduct cost-benefit analyses, plan, organize, and perform broad, extensive studies related to projects and programs of significant interest to senior leadership.

• This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 801, proficiency level intermediate the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following; Overseeing the initiation and completion of detailed project documents necessary for fund execution. Executing effective project performance monitoring, preparing executive communications, briefing materials, and project status reports for senior leaders. Analyzing program operations, resources, and execution, overseeing projects involved wit administration, operations, and management services to assigned functions. Planning work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust priorities, and prepare schedule for completion of work based on capability of the employees.
