About the Position: Serve as G-3/5/7 Assistant Executive Officer and as G-3/5/7 Staff Actions Control Officer within the G-3/5/7 Training Directorate. As Executive Officer, provides general guidance and direction. Duties require an extensive and in-depth knowledge of the organization's missions, polices, functions, and procedures followed by G-3/5/7, its directorates, and its field operation agencies.
Duties
Review and prioritize, tasks and monitors all staff actions for the eight Training Directorate Divisions.
Assist and provide direction to military and civilian action officers in the Training Directorate and across the G-3/5/7 Directorates as required to expedite the completion of the staffing process.
Maintain active coordination with the G-3/5/7 senior leader office and appropriate offices of the Army Secretariat to remain current concerning developing policies and/or staff procedures.
Verify and analyze information submitted by various ACOMS, Army Service Component Command (ASCCs), and Direct Reporting Units (DRUs).
Interpret and review correspondence, fact sheets, information papers for dissemination to the appropriate Training Directorate Divisions/personnel.
Advise and provide recommendations to Training Directorate senior leadership on management, business, and administrative disciplines
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position may require occasional travel.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/ SCI Security Clearance.
- This is a testing designated position. Personnel are required to sign DA Form 5019-R (Condition of Employment for Certain Civilian Positions Identified as critical under the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program).
- Personnel must pass drug screening prior to hiring and will be subject to periodic and random drug testing, thereafter, in accordance with AR 600-85 and Department of Defense Directive 2010.9.
