Duties

Establishes subsistence military standard requisition and issue procedures (MILSTRIPs) for various local purchase items. Develops contingency and mobilization plans for subsistence. Coordinates veterinary food inspections to ensure that sanitary standards are met. Resolves discrepancies and conflicts such as vendor supply deficiencies, scheduling conflicts, new and changes in requirements. Monitors established contracts requirements in support of the SSMO. Coordinates authorized menu items with the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCPD), and the Defense Automatic Addressing System-Columbus (DAAS-C) to ensure billing for subsistence items is properly charged to the right accounts. Prepares annual forecasts for operational rations and new mission requirements.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) Background Investigation is required.
  • Occasional temporary duty travel may be required.
  • Position may require evening, weekend, and/or holiday hours to include overtime, as mission dictates.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a valid State driver's license
