About the Position: This position is with the U.S Army Sustainment Command, Joint Personal Property Shipment Office-Northwest Customer Service Division, located in JBLM, WA.
Duties
Plan, and/or coordinate on the Transportation/Traffic Management Program.
Perform in-depth analyses of factors to determine trends in government and/or commercial transportation.
Develop revisions to procedures, policies, and/or regulations to improve customer service.
Establish traffic management operating procedures.
Review structure of organization to optimize use of resources and/or maximize efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.
Responsible for the certification and/or direct payment of vouchers.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 is used to assist agencies and employees to avoid conflicts between duties and financial interest.
- This position has been designated "Mission Essential".
- In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG).

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1.) Monitoring and/or ensuring that all transportation activities comply with relevant regulations and/or policies. 2.) Using automated systems to arrange transportation services and/or manage transportation related data. 3.) Developing solutions to transportation related issues such as resolving discrepancies in billing statements or addressing travel and/or passport issues. 4.) Communicating with customers, carriers, and/or other stakeholders to coordinate transportation services. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
