This announcement may be used to fill other positions within the Information & Technology Directorate.

Duties

Provide expert planning, design, oversight, coordination, implementation, advice and consultation regarding agency efforts led by Leveraging Technology. Serves as a recognized technical authority with responsibility for developing, designing, implementing and maintaining agency efforts led by Leveraging Technology. Assesses and provides strategic direction regarding the development of financial management policies and procedures. Coordinates with multiple levels of management in the modification of existing and/or new financial management systems and the management of financial programs. Develops specifications and requirements for the integration of financial management systems and solutions to potential interface challenges. Plan and conducts expert analysis of current/projected resource factors to determine the overall effectiveness of the agency in achieving planned financial management goals and objectives.

  • Suitable for Federal employment
  • Time after Competitive Appointment: Candidates must have served 3 months after latest competitive appointment in the Federal service.
  • This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
  • Time-in-Grade Requirement: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-13 or higher grade in Federal Service.

Qualifications

One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-13) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized Experience is defined as: Technical advisor on the planning, implementation, evaluation and maintenance, of automated finance or accounting systems; researching and interpreting financial management regulations, principles, policies and procedures as they relate to automated financial systems processing and finance operations; planning and coordinating projects pertaining to financial management systems. You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.

Education is not substitutable for specialized experience at this grade level.
