About the Position: XVIII ABN CORPS SENIOR CDR AUG Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Fort Bragg is a culturally diverse area with rural and city populations, co-located at Fayetteville, NC centrally located in the beautiful state of North Carolina, which enjoys a temperate year-round climate and world-renowned colleges and universities. Fayetteville is centrally located between the beautiful beaches of North Carolina and the scenic Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains. TERM appointment NTE 4 June 2029
Duties
Participates in calculation, justification, and prioritization related to unfinanced requirements.
Reviews estimates submitted for compliance with rules, regulations, and procedures. Performs in-depth, rigorous analysis of budget requests, such as cost-benefit analysis, program trade-offs, and exploring alternative methods of funding.
Utilizes GFEBS, DTS and GCSS-Army to perform budget administration functions in the execution of an annual appropriated fund budget for a unit or activity.
Works with assigned unit/actvity POCs to develop and formulate a budget for the coming fiscal year.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Performing day-to-day involving the formulation, execution and/or analysis of budget and funding requirements; 2) Experience in budget, presentation, and execution that included the application of budgeting and financial management regulations, policies, precedents ; 3) methods to formulate, justify and monitor budget activities; and the analysis and evaluation of financial and budgetary relationships to develop recommendations for budgetary actions . This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: [insert applicable field(s) of study].

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
