About the Position: Works under general supervision of the Director, Initiatives Group as the Deputy. The employee is responsible for independently planning, designing, and carrying out the strategic planning and analysis for Army Campaign Plan and congressional affairs program while keeping the Director informed on progress as appropriate
Duties
Serve as the technical expert and authority on all Congressional activities to include authorization and appropriations interactions with Congress.
Integrate information that assists the Congress in understanding Army G-8 policies, actions, operations, and requirements needed for the current and future FY Authorization Bill and Defense / Military Construction Appropriation Bills.
Provide oversight and analysis of congressional activities of interest including the status of significant legislation and the authorization and appropriations processes.
Determine legislative impacts on G-8 programs and policies.
Represent the Chief, G-8 Director's Initiatives Group at meetings and provides technical and policy guidance on legislative authorization and appropriation issues.
Requirements
