Duties
This position is located in the Inspections Division (ID), Office of Inspections and Policy (OIP), Assistant Chief of Police for Standards and Training Operations (ACOP-S&TO), in the United States Capitol Police (USCP). The incumbent has delegated authority, for administering the Department's internal policy performance and compliance program. The work involves monitoring specific program areas, conducting risk assessments to create internal auditing guidelines, and analyzing program performance trends and other data for continuous improvement. Conduct inspection and compliance reviews of all the Department programs to examine compliance with laws, rules, regulations, and policies. Evaluate the adequacy of established controls, efficiency of operations, and effectiveness in achieving program results.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below.Qualifying experience for this position includes one year of specialized experience at least equivalent to the CP-12 (GS-14) level that is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience includes: 1) expert knowledge of analytical and evaluative methods; 2) extensive knowledge and understanding of project management principles, tools; and techniques; and 3) ability to determine control strategies and quality improvement opportunities.
