About the Position: The Employee is the primary lead for Accession Information Environment (AIE) prototype development in the reception battalion, Personnel Affairs Branch (PAB) and Initial Receiving Branch (IRB). Serves as lead technical advisor in the PAB and IRB, responsible for overseeing and approving actions related to reception battalion in AIE for Initial Entry Training (IET): Active Duty, National Guard, and Reserve Soldiers coming into the Army for training.
Duties
Plans, organizes, and conducts group briefings covering a variety of IET personnel matters.
Obtains information and data from a variety of sources to answer questions, respond to correspondence, and/or prepare reports or briefings concerning AIE prototype issues in the IET processing and accessioning environment.
Compiles and analyzes data to identify trends, deficiencies, and accomplishments in AIE.
Prepares reports and/or briefings to inform management of analyses results for use in the decision-making process and for in-progress reviews of the AIE prototype status information.
Serves as an authoritative source providing advice and guidance to Soldiers and civilian employees utilizing AIE.
Reviews quality controls and verifies records to identify discrepancies and gaps in information, or AIE business processes and functionality.
Prepares correspondence, reports, and other documents in draft and final form using word processing software, graphics software, or other automated programs.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
- This position may require temporary duty (TDY) for business for up to 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience assisting with military personnel administration, such as, maintaining military records and processing military actions, and preparing a variety of correspondence and reports; provide assistance in the development, design and implementation of HR system requirements; and provide verification of system functionality throughout the development process.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
