About the Position: Serves as Human Resources Assistant (Military) for the 120th AG Battalion (Reception), 193rd Infantry Battalion, Fort Jackson, SC.

Duties

Serves as automation administrator on matters concerning the Reception Module administrator. Serves as the Subject Matter Expert in the Reception Module database. Serves as the Battalion statistician on matters involving the number of soldiers received and processed through 120th AG Bn (REC). Serves as liaison to ensure proper processing of Trainees with mandatory return dates, hard start AIT MOSs, medical and legal problems, and other unique circumstances

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable T1 (background) investigation.
  • During Summer Surge or other escalation in processing requirements, the employee is subject to recall and may be required to work overtime/shift work.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Researching and applying the appropriate military regulations and procedures to perform a full range of military personnel support activities; and 2) Utilizing military personnel databases, computers, and software programs to complete administrative tasks. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). NOTE: Applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcement.
