You will serve as a Family Advocacy PROGRAM ANALYST in the Sailor and Family Readiness Programs Branch (OPNAV N171) in the Navy Culture and Force Resiliency Office (OPNAV N17), of DCNO (MP&T) (OPNAV N1)

Duties

You will advise managers on family advocacy program initiatives to improve the effectiveness and efficiency. You will present reports on issues (e.g., budget, problem resolution, management planning, policy issues) to managers. You will analyze the functions of a family advocacy program to initiate recommendations for improvement. You will analyze statistical data to develop reports. You will develop strategic plans based on information from performing quantitative or qualitative analyses. You will document ways to improve an operating program's effectiveness

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector:1) Providing technical expertise and leadership in identifying, analyzing and evaluating personnel and family matters related to Family Readiness related programs to include Family Advocacy; 2) Determining efficacy of program policy/delivery and recommending policy or resource adjustments to achieve optimal results through analysis of data and various reports/studies; 3) Gathering, analyzing and assessing statistical data to develop appropriate strategies to further SECNAV, OPNAV, and Navy Culture and Force Resiliency Office priorities and goals in areas including, but not limited to: policy development and interpretation, program analysis, complaints, status of actions and projects, documented program support, emergent Family Readiness issues, and Program Operating Memorandum (POM) budget issues; 4) Recommending policy and resource realignment to optimize initiatives within budget controls; and 5) Contributing to the formulation of policy by presenting findings and recommendations obtained from research/analysis of data, assessments and reports.
