You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST of NAVENPVNTMEDU 5 SAN DIEGO.
Duties
You will use attention to detail.
You will use grammar and writing skills to effectively generate and edit training material, correspondence, and reports.
You will observe instructor performance in a specific course or block of courses; evaluate performance utilizing standardized checklists for student feedback.
You will manage and administer the Navy Education and Training Command MTS program for NEPMU FIVE.
You will consult with instructors and curriculum specialists to determine the needs and suitability of classroom and other training spaces.
You will maintain all records.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience anticipating, recognizing, evaluating, and managing education and training needs of unit personnel.
Experience utilizing technical and computer-based skills for managing multiple training, tracking, and registration programs, as well as proficiency with the full suite of word processing, visual aid, and database management software.
Experience using effective communication skills for professional and responsive interactions with students, instructors, and coworkers through email, phone calls, Microsoft Teams, and in- person conversations.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position being filled.
