About the Position: Serves as a Requirements and Combat Development Specialist for the Joint Activities Command at Fort Liberty, NC. This is for 2 vacancies.
Duties
Serve as specialist for writing and developing capability requirements documents.
Advise the command on: Mission Area Analysis (MAA), Analysis of Alternatives (AoA), Concept of Employment/Operations, acquisition and resourcing strategies.
Prepare documentation required to staff products to the requirements review board.
Review peers work for adequacy and compliance with instructions and policy.
Triage urgent operational requirements, and interface with acquisition program management offices.
Direct the preparation of mission analysis, course of action development to document requirements.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment urinalysis screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- This position is subject to perform temporary duty up to 25%.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless previously completed.

Specialized Experience GS-13: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Analyzing mission requirements to respond to capability gaps and identify solutions; 2) Reviewing acquisition practices within the command; 3) Maintaining capabilities documentation for mission requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal system (GS-12).
