As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.The incumbent serves as a Front Line Manager for a team of Legal Instrument Examiners.

Duties

Manages and directs the functions of the Aircraft Registration Branch, AFB-710, in the accomplishment of its assigned responsibilities in support of the mission of the Civil Aviation Registry. Plans, establishes priorities, manages resources, assigns tasks and responsibilities; coaches and develops employee capabilities, approves leave; and takes corrective/disciplinary action, as appropriate. Interviews candidates, makes selections, and monitors/evaluates performance of section employees.

• A one-year supervisory/managerial probationary period may be required.
• Successful completion of a security investigation will be required.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position at the FV-I (GS/FG-13) level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the, FV-H (GS/FG-12/13) level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized Experience includes: Experience adjudicating aircraft registration applications and legal instruments affecting title to interest in aircraft, engines, propellers, and spare parts locations; experience in analyzing applications; experience in providing guidance, planning, decision making, and interpreting policies/procedures.
