Duties
The incumbent serves as the FCC Section 508 Program Manager, technical advisor (expert/ authority) and lead specialist on Section 508 Program electronic information technology. He/she is responsible for developing, evaluating, and recommending electronic information technology (EIT) accessibility policies and procedures and ensuring operational changes within FCC IT systems meets national Section 508 Program requirements for employees with disabilities.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet eligibility and qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Time in grade restrictions do not apply to Direct Hire procedures.
GS-14 In order to be deemed as qualified candidates must have one year of specialized experience which is equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the federal service. Specialized experience includes: 1. Experience leading Section 508 Program compliance activities. 2. Experience developing, evaluating, and recommending electronic information technology (EIT) accessibility policies and procedures and ensuring that IT systems meet the national Section 508 Program requirements.3. Experience serving as an authoritative expert on Section 508 Program electronic information technology and providing guidance and advice to senior IT management.4. Experience directs the testing of applications, systems, and IT assets across an enterprise/organization.5. Experience establishing Section 508 testing protocols that supports assessment, testing, and reporting of Section 508 violations and remediation processes.
