You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the AVAILABILITY PLANNING DEPARTMENT of SURFACE MAINTENANCE ENGINEERING PLANNING PROGRAM.
Duties
You will perform studies that involve developing, analyzing, advising on, or improving the effectiveness of work methods, procedures, distribution of work assignments, delegations of authority, and management controls.
You will develop organizational structures, work processes, manpower controls, or paperwork management systems.
You will apply analytical ability and evaluate techniques to management problems.
You will plan/conduct comprehensive studies and reviews that involve a major management function (e.g., surface ship maintenance planning, repair, overhaul, life cycle maintenance) or significant segments of several major management functions.
You will go onboard ships to provide verification of status of life cycle maintenance and provide technical guidance, program, business management decisions to integrate maintenance planning functions in surface ship maintenance life cycle.
You will attend meetings with managers and supervisors to help formulate and present management improvement plans and strategies.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing or evaluating information for surface ship maintenance or modernization program operations.
