As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.The incumbent is responsible for formulating, executing, advising, and coordinating policies and procedures to ensure the financial stability of AHR.
Duties
Work typically involves highly complex and challenging activities under the minimal direction of a manager or executive. It requires experience applying methodologies, procedures, techniques, and problem-solving skills in business management functions to administer an effective business management program. Assignments typically involve applying expert-level fiscal knowledge to develop new and innovative approaches to problems or issues that often cross organizational boundaries and impact the accomplishment of strategic objectives.

- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents).
Qualifications
To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-J, FG/GS-14 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.Specialized experience is defined as:- Extensive experience with formulating, executing, presenting/defending a multi-million dollar programmatic budget.-Experience in the interpretation and application of fiscal policies to define and develop internal procedures relating to budget execution, reporting, and oversight to prevent or predict potential issues, and propose recommendations to senior leadership to address or mitigate fiscal and operational risk.-Developing and establishing comprehensive financial management and accounting tools/techniques to ensure internal controls.-Managing and obligating funds for shared services such as working capital funds, reimbursable services, or corporately assessed funds.-Conducting analysis, interpreting, and providing advice on the application of appropriation law, legislation, legal decisions and opinions, federal regulations, and directives.You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
