You will serve as a MANAGEMENT SUPPORT SPECIALIST in the Current Operations Division of MARINE CORPS COMBAT DEVELOPMENT CMD.
Duties
You will be assigned as the commands Agency Program Coordinator (APC) for the government travel card program, managing the day-to-day operations of the program.
You will be assigned as the Defense Travel System administrator you will provide customer service and technical assistance on all official travel matters.
You will be responsible for providing planning, coordination of resources, and administrative management services essential to the operation of Capabilities Development Directorate.
You will assist in the organization, development, formulation and execution of policies as they pertain to the administrative functions, and day-to-day
operations.
You will receive, record, route all incoming mail, correspondence, publications and other documents.
You will review incoming and outgoing correspondence for compliance with current policies and regulations.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector relating to the Defense Travel System, developing security guidance, using programs, and office administration.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
or
Have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. Your percentage of the required education plus your percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
