Duties

You will manage all aspects for the engineering and expert administration of network architectures. You will be responsible for the cybersecurity for DKI APCSS programs, organizations, systems, and enclaves. You will prepare system documentation for complex network assignments in accordance with agency, major command, and local standards. You will ensure compliance with the vulnerability management program by properly scanning all network devices, endpoints, servers, and cloud devices. You will perform cyber defense trend analysis and reporting and assesses the effectiveness of security controls. You will provide input for approving the selection and day to day operation of hardware and software tools used for routine security operations, especially incident detection, response, and tracking.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Information Assurance Technical Level III within 12 months of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: configuring and optimizing network hubs, routers, and switches, testing and maintaining network infrastructures including software and hardware, and resolving security system vulnerabilities and mitigating risks. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D.

or

equivalent doctoral degree
