About the Position: Serves as a Force Management Specialist for the Joint Activities located at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.
Duties
Serves as the primary liaison to the Command, its Service Components and all associated units with regard to manpower management.
Provides guidance for the Joint Manpower Program (JMP) to include: Joint Tables of Distributions (JTD) management.
Coordinates with the Manpower Directorate to ensure requirements are in line with budgeted billets on the number of officers, enlisted, and civilians.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top-Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment urinalysis screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience developing, analyzing, maintaining, and documenting changes to manpower programs.; assist in advising staff directors and unit commanders in determining their manpower requirements to meet mission requirements; assist in research requirements and jobs statements for both current and new positions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
