About the Position: Manages the Training Aids and Devices Simulator/Simulation TADSS) technical support services for the Training Support Center (TSC) to include scheduling and training for customers and other TADSS personnel.

Duties

Provide technical operational assistance to customers about the Training Aids and Devices Simulator/Simulation (TADSS) function. Follow internal operational guidelines to maximize efficient and effective use of resources (manpower, equipment, and facilities) utilized in support of specialized training function. Prepare and operate various information systems and methods, including bar code systems, to support records, reports, concurrence/approvals, accountability, and other business operating transactions. Serve as a Quality Control Manager for Training Aids and Devices Simulator/Simulation (TADSS). Operate various motor vehicles to transport and or to assist with storage of supplies and equipment.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret/T3 security clearance.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and then continue to maintain a valid state Driver's License.
  • Must possess physical ability to operate various types of forklifts.
  • May require wearing special protective items of clothing in addition to hearing protection and safety glasses, due to outdoor work may involve extreme Arctic conditions.
  • Temporary Duty travel (TDY) may be required up to 10%.

OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Adult Education, Organizational Training, or a subject area related to the position being filled. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Computer SkillsInstructional ImplementationOral CommunicationPlanning and EvaluatingSupply Planning Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
