About the Position: This position is located at Fort Richardson, Alaska. This is a term position not to exceed 5 years. Position may be filled by temporary reassignment or promotion not to exceed 5 years. If are you a current federal Department of Defense employee, you may have return rights to your prior position.

Duties

This position serves as the Chief of Staff (CoS) for the Market and is responsible for the management and execution of business activities, critical support services, and long-range strategic planning for the Market. Direct the Market's planning and execution of financial processes, manpower and personnel, information management, strategic planning, personnel resource assignments and skill development. Oversee other critical services such as: Clinical Operations, Market Operations, Resource Operations, and Special Staff functions. Collaborate with the Market Director and Deputy Market Director to oversee and assure unity of the Directorate's highly visible Market, aligning functions and processes into a singular Market strategy.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position has been designated "Mission Essential".
  • In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
  • This position may require to work overtime.
  • This is a situational telework position.
