About the Position: Serve as Chief, Administration Operations section, senior administrator, and Directorate Defense Performance Management and Appraisal Program (DPMAP) Super User, Notary, and Chief Privacy Officer for the Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization, and Security (DPTMS), Fort Liberty, North Carolina.
Duties
Serve as the Senior Administrations Officer within the Directorate responsible for all phases of program planning, implementation and management required to meet the business operations for Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security.
Provide leadership to improve processes and procedures that impact the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of programs directed.
Supervise Specialists and Analysts who formulate, manage, evaluate, control, coordinate and execute assigned programs measured against project objectives and budgets to achieve overall program objectives.
Provide managerial oversight, supervision, guidance, direction and mentorship to the Directorate Operations Specialist, Knowledge Management Officer, and Support Operations Specialist.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a North Carolina State Notary certification.
- One year supervisory probationary period is required unless previously completed.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) managing staffing levels utilizing an organizational Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) or related document; 2) managing an incentive awards program; 3) utilizing and providing guidance on an automated performance evaluation system such as the Department of Defense (DoD) Performance Management and Appraisal Program and an automated time and attendance program such as Automated Time Attendance Production System (ATAAPS); 4) developing employee performance standards to appraise work; 5) ensuring Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies, directives, and procedures are being followed; and 6) possessing a high degree of written and oral communication skills.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
